Case Study: Creating a booking system for a financial services company

 We were tasked with making a bespoke booking system to add on to a bespoke CRM for a financial services company. 


Here are some of the challenges we overcame, mostly to do with gmail / appe message apps

1. Google blocking emails: 

This was more a logo / trust challenge. When a client received an email, a big question mark appeared against the email address. Registration / Authorisation was needed.


2. Gmail truncating messages

This appeared when testing - when multiple messages that are similar come in, gmail has a way of compacting them. We wanted all the message visible all the time. Some in depth templating was needed.


3. Apple email and transforming text inside boxes

This is primarily an issue with 'dark mode' which is a relatively modern issue. We found differences between how gmail and apple iphone and android apps worked in translating text for dark mode. Dark mode is designed to make it easier for you to read text. However we had to find a way of making the text consistent across apps.
